Binding of fragments

PLEXIGLAS® Soundstop GS CC can be used without additional retaining structures for noise barriers on bridges.
If noise barriers are installed on bridges, consideration must be given to ensure that there is no danger to people or property located below the bridge. Fragments of the barrier that may become loose in the event of an accident must breack away. ZTV-Lsw 06 and EN 1794 both specify: “If brittle materials or materials that may become brittle, such as plastic, are used, these elements and their fragments must be made safe by means of retaining devices”.
The polyamide threads embedded in PLEXIGLAS® Soundstop GS CC represent such retaining devices because they are effective in preventing fragments of the sheets from falling.
